Love comes from the imperfection and mortality
Once upon a time, God created man and woman, then set them in the Garden od Eden. First the couple felt comfortable with the wealthy lifestyle there. But everything has changed since they ate from the Tree of Knowledge.
The Fruits of Knowledge make them realize the Love, it’s the mutual affection between humans and humans, it’s based on desire, but purer and nobler. Hence the human behavior is far off the beasts. However, as the man and the woman are passionately deep in their love, they begin forgetting the respect for God.
Knowing this violation, God banishes the couple from the Garden, curses them with hard life in order to show how sorrowful humans must be while living without His Protection, then they would repent and apologize to him.
Years after years, nevertheless God doesn’t hear any call for help, so He decides to visit the couple to see what happens. When He gets there, the man and his wife are sitting in front of a cottage, with a yellow ripe field around. The two people don’t pay attention on the appearance of their Creator, but contemplate each other and sometime look at the cradle in which there’s a new born baby. Their eyes, their face, their smile, all are bright of happiness. It’s a beautiful scene which is more sparkling than the Milky Way, softer than breeze, warmer than sunshine and fresher than spring water. God shivers of being moved, especially the baby surprises Him very much. Since he created its parents in the image of adults, so he can’t figure this lovely body.
“I’ve never known this wonder”-Says God-”Where is it from?”
“My Lord, it’s the result of Love”-The man replies.
God understand now the reason why humans don’t remember Him. It’s Love that makes people not care about the fear, the age, the poverty and other difficulties, it’s Love that protects humans while God abandons them. That’s why the cult of the Creator is derailed. Then God gets so angry that He decides to strip humans of healthy
“Day by day, you will lose youth and energy”-God shouts out-”and let’s see how you can keep the love when you’re weak.”
Many decades later, God comes back. The cottage is now replaced by a log cabin. The young people are working on the field, singing joyfully. The children are playing on the yard. On the stoop, there’re an old man and an old woman sitting close, looking at each other. In their eyes, the flame of enthusiasm calms down, but the tenderness overflows. Getting mad, God judges
“If the age can’t punish you, let me take the immortality from you, and Love will go out with it”.
Some years pass away, God comes back again. This time, he sees the old man sitting near a grave where his wife was burried. The man’s eyes are full of sadness, but still consists in faith and rememberance.
God approaches the man and says
” Give me back the love, and I’ll give you back you wife as well as your enternity”.
“My Lord, I don’t want to receive those favors.”-Says the man-”Our Love is still more precious than our own lives. On the other hand, it’s useless for you. Even you handle it, you won’t be able to possess it, feel it or understand it.”
God leaves in silence. He returns to Eden and tastes the Fruits of Knowledge. But He doesn’t find any difference. Therefore, He comes to the man and asks
“I’ve eaten the Fruits, but I haven’t got Love. Tell me, how did you learn about it?
“You”ll never get it, My Lord”-the man replies-”because Love arises from the imperfection and is challenged by the death whereas you’re perfect and immortal”.
